The Taste Collection is a celebration of the generous and distinct flavours that have made Selaks wines so extraordinary and sought after for more than 90 years. Rich Berry Merlot, the rich berry fruit flavours gently cascade along the palate, underpinned by soft fine tannins. A sumptuous, fruit-forward wine with lingering flavour right to the finish.

An expressive Syrah with gentle floral notes that are supported by savoury, umami flavours. The palate is elegant yet juicy and delicious. Fermentation and aging in clay amphorae pot has created a pure expression of Syrah that shows the exciting terroir of the Raupo vineyard, situated in the Omaka Valley of Marlborough.

On the nose, are notes of citrus, toasted almond and apple. The palate is focused and bright, with hints of grapefruit, nectarine and peach. The acidity is firm and linear, giving backbone to the soft orchard-fruit core and carrying through to a long fragrant finish.

Brimming with concentrated ripe aromas of warm autumnal interlaced with savoury notes. On the palate this Sauvignon Blanc shows the full spectrum of flavours. Medium to full-bodied, it's plump and silky on the palate, showcasing round fig and melon notes.

A truly charming and graceful Rosé that has been crafted to wholly represent a small, special plot of Pinot Noir within the Raupo Creek vineyard. Highly aromatic, brimming with classic Pinot Noir Rosé notes of wild berry fruits, and ripe orchard fruits. Exudes elegance and purity on the palate, yet is highly textural and layered. Finishes dry, with a refreshing acidity that creates tension and completes the wine.

Primary aromas of blackberry and dark cherry are complemented by notes of dark chocolate, freshly turned earth and bay leaf. Balanced acidity, textured tannins and subtle French oak envelop and focus the sweet, dark berry fruit into the long finish.

Rich red berry flavours (grenache) then earth and spice and plums (shiraz) and thirdly a long, leafy back-palate (yes, mataro - you've worked this game out now, haven't you...) The sum, however, is much more than the parts. The tannins are neat but not in any way unnoticed. Acidity holds the line. The pure fruit and berry notes are balanced by the tannins and the oak's spice.

A soft and gently rounded palate with ample rich fruits smoothly laced with bucolic tannins and framed by a keen keel of stirring acidity. Plums and blackberries return along with hints of milk chocolate. The giving blackberry and plum fruit is perfectly counter-weighted by the strangely reassuring gruffness of the tannins.

Smoking Loon The Original Old Vine Zinfandel is a striking deep, inky purple colour in the glass. Aromas of ripe raspberry, black cherry, peppercorn and toasted coconut lift from the glass. This rich, medium-bodied wine is full of flavour with loads of fresh red fruits; raspberry, pomegranate and a healthy dose of that classic Zinfandel spice. This is a bold wine with good structure and lively acidity making it a perfect match for any type of BBQ.
