Since its first release in 1962, Penfolds Bin 128 Coonawarra Shiraz has celebrated the distinctive character of one of Australia's most revered wine regions. Sourced from the famed terra rossa soils of Coonawarra, this cool-climate Shiraz offers a graceful contrast to the richer, warmer-climate styles of the Penfolds collection, capturing the perfume, structure and depth unique to its origins. Matured in a combination of new and seasoned French oak hogsheads, the 2024 vintage reveals aromas of violet florals, cracked pepper, savoury spice and dark berry fruits, layered with hints of dried orange peel and juniper. The palate is medium-bodied and finely structured, balancing mulberry, red fruits and spice with fresh acidity and subtle earthy notes. Focused and energetic, it carries the unmistakable character of Coonawarra through to a poised, lingering finish.
