A small but important addition of Viognier and Rolle complete the wine with some floral aromas of white blossoms and hints of apricots. A perfect balance of freshness, precision and spontaneity.

It is balanced on the palate, with a very well-integrated acidity, with a presence of white fruits and a good harmonious finish.

An intense, deeply flavoured Porto Tawny 40 Years Old, with a massive bouquet suggesting vanilla, oak and honey, and a mouthful of very complex flavours of dried fruits, spices, and nuts. As the wine unfolds smoothly and develops in the mouth, one discovers a superb balance of wood ageing and vibrancy, characteristic of Sandeman Tawny Portos.

This wine has an opaque, almost black colour. The aroma is intense and complex, with prominent notes of well-ripened black fruit, resin as well as hints of cocoa and chocolate as a result of its excellent maturation. Great volume on the palate with a vibrant and fresh acidity, firm high quality tannins, floral notes of rockrose and hints of black fruit and chocolate. A great invitation for a very long and elegant finish.
