Dark ruby red in colour, this wine opens up with aromas and flavours of ripe black cherry and raspberry. Ageing select lots in rum barrels enhances the notes of baking spice, brown sugar, vanilla, and cocoa when added to the final blend. Dark chocolate notes carry through to a long, lush finish. A superb accompaniment to spiced meats and poultry, Brie with fig jam, and chocolate desserts.

If you're after a light Shiraz, this is not the red for you. It's inky black and dripping with ripe blackberries, dark chocolate and liquorice underpinned by mocha and spice. The voluptuous, fleshy mouth-feel is laden with velvet smooth tannins and a long, dark chocolate, spicy mocha and vanillin oak aftertaste. If you're keen to cellar, 4-5 years would do it justice. Perfect for your next barbecue or steak night.

On the picturesque Gibbston Back Road you will find our Pinot Gris Vineyard. Grapes were hand harvested early morning and fermented in small batches. This youthful pinot gris is then subtlety aged in older French oak, thus adding additional layers of texture and weight to the palate and enhancing those exceptional aromatics and flavours. On the nose you'll find aromas of ripe peach, nectarine, and Nashi pear with a vibrant luscious palate and long, zesty finish. Complements rich or light seafood meals and most spiced cuisine, very versatile.

This wine is the result of Rockburn's Winemaker let loose to practice his Artistry on fruit from other sites within Central Otago. Ruffino Chianti DOCG is an approachable, easy-drinking wine that has predominantly fruity and floral aromatics, with hints of spice and hazelnut. The palate is soft with a medium body and nice balance, displaying pleasantly fruity characteristics.
