As a result of its 10 months in French oak, it presents good toast intensity with aromas of chocolate, jam, and vanilla, all very well intertwined with the fruit. The Mountaineer Pinot Noir pays homage to the pioneering spirit and sense of adventure displayed by mountain climbers confronting the forces of nature and celebrating the beauty and grandeur of the New Zealand Southern Alps. The preparation, passion and commitment are necessary to grow and make Pinot Noir in Central Otago mirror the challenges faced by these pioneering mountaineers. Ripe dark plums, cherries, violets and spice lead into a wine brimming with ample concentrated fruit flavours of red cherries and raspberries on the palate complimented by soft spices and toasty oak influence. Long to finish with bright acidity and soft ripe tannins.

This wine has aromas of blackberries and cassis with earthy rhubarb notes, complemented by sweet oak. The palate is elegant and finely structured with vanilla and plum on the finish.

Grapes sourced from Mount Riley's Seventeen Valley vineyard in Marlborough's Wairau Valley. This is one of their warmest vineyard sites and along with super low yields produces the ripeness levels required for Syrah. Grapes are cold soaked, fermented in small parcels and aged for eleven months in French oak barriques. In the glass, magenta with purple hues. Aromas of floral, spice and white pepper notes. The palate reveals a structured wine with great fruit purity and great length of flavour. Match with red or gamey meats and pasta.

Mt Difficulty is a boutique winery located in Bannockburn, Central Otago, and was named after the mountain overlooking Felton road and the southern Cromwell basin. As the vineyards are ageing Mt Difficulty are starting to see additional complexity emerging each vintage. Inviting and opulent, the palate is flush with sweet cherry & blueberry, followed by trademark earth & savoury notes and framed by baking spice and fine grained French Oak. The fruit floods through to the finish with a juicy balance, indicating acidity that will keep the wine aging well.

The grapes for Roaring Meg come from Mt Difficulty's Cromwell basin vineyards managed by their dedicated viticultural team. The addition of fruit from their Bendigo vineyard has lends a powerful, darker edge. Roaring Meg Pinot Noir features red, blue and black berry fruit aromatics. The palate is harmonious with rich dark berries and a savoury line underneath. A hint of spice and dried thyme complement the succulent fruit. Fine silky tannins frame the wine with a great flow and finish.

Ghost Town Syrah is handcrafted in very limited quantities. Blackcurrant raspberry and sandalwood notes sit alongside cassia bark and sweetly scented spice elements in the background

Pipeclay Terrace Pinot Noir is hand crafted in very limited quantities and only released in outstanding vintages. Classic high tone violet florals that are intermingled with black cherry and blackberry notes with an edge of sweet brown spice.

Deep purple in colour. Classic aromas of lifted blackcurrant, blackberry and mint on the nose. Flavours follow through of sweet berry-fruit accented by fresh muddled mint. Elegant, structured palate with big velvety tannins.
