Les Vergelesses Domaine is a Pernand-Vergelesses Premier Cru wine made from a 5.4-hectare vineyard, which gave its name to the village of Pernand. Located on the south side of Corton hill, this terroir is unique in its soil typology. While the soil is heavy and stony at the top of the plot, the bottom of the plot is more clayey, giving the wine complexity and power. Tasting Notes:Purple colour, its intense notes of very ripe black fruits such as cherry, blackcurrant and blackberry. Deep and intense, it persists for a long time with tannins which gain a velvety texture over time.

The Lafite Rothschild family has been producing wine in Bordeaux since 1868. For six generations, they got to know this beautiful landscape and understand the unique traits of the vines from each appellation. Three decades ago, the family was inspired to create a new wine series, where each wine would be the epitome of the appellation it came from. Their motivation was simple - to ensure wine lovers everywhere could dive into Bordeaux and taste the originality of each appellation. And so, the Les Légendes R range was born. Les Légende R Bordeaux 2020 shows a beautiful colour, with dark glints. The nose is fruity, with aromas of dark berries (blackberries, blackcurrants) and Morello cherries. The palate is dense, harmonious and balanced with a very aromatic finish (notes of liquorice and candied liquorice).

Crafted by the renowned Lafite Rothschild family, who have been producing exceptional Bordeaux wines since 1868, the Les Légendes R range captures the true character of each appellation. The 2022 vintage, shaped by a season of climatic extremes, has produced a remarkably balanced and harmonious wine. Deep garnet in colour, it opens with an intense aromatic profile of roasted coffee and toasted bread, evolving into notes of black pepper with aeration. The palate is full and creamy, supported by a well-structured backbone and ripe, integrated tannins, leading to a fresh, lingering finish with hints of blackberry and spice.

Deep ruby red with hints of violet. Mature fruity notes on the nose with hints of spice and balsamic from its aging. On the palate, this oak aged mix of Garnacha and Tempranillo grape varieties is soft and well-structured with a long lasting aftertaste.

Blending the classic character of Syrah and Grenache, it opens with vibrant aromas of red berries and spice before revealing a full-bodied palate layered with rich fruit, smooth tannins, and refined elegance. Careful ageing and meticulous blending create a wine of remarkable consistency, depth, and finesse, finishing long and beautifully balanced.

Warm, enticing blueberry aromas with mocha chocolate, cedar spice, plums and cassis. Big, soft and generous, the palate displays plum and berry compote, toasted vanilla and boysenberry. Hints of mocha chocolate complement the rich, velvety finish.

An immensely complex and enticing on the nose with sweet berry, bouquet garni, game, violet and almond nuances, leading to a splendidly refined palate offering outstanding concentration and depth. Silky and plush with an impressively long structured finish. The wine will impress now but also will reward a few years in the cellar.

Trail Rider wines are hand made from fruit grown on Eight Ranges' micro vineyard that overlooks the Central Otago Rail Trail. These are serious wines made with no corners cut, designed to be enjoyed and shared now, although these wines will develop with time. This is an enticingly elegant Pinot Noir with concentrated berry fruits and a herbaceous note reflecting the local thyme that grows around the winemakers vineyard. A smooth, lingering finish is supported by fine smoky notes providing a lovely savoury balance.
