A portion of the fruit is left to naturally raisin on the vine, lending richness and intensity before being blended with oak-matured Pinotage. The result is seductively smooth and full-bodied, with alluring aromas of Turkish delight, chocolate, red cherry and vanilla, followed by layers of plum, butterscotch and supple tannins. Decades ago, a tractor launching a ski-boat off Yzerfontein was caught in a high tide and was never recovered - it can be spotted occasionally when tide is low. A rich and complex wine with ripe plum and dark berry flavours, forest floor and kelp with underlying toasted oak notes finishing with a smooth and textured palate from integrated barrel maturation.
