Perfumed, floral low yielding Pinot Noir with typical notes of cherry, violet and juicy raspberry. Following some pigeage, 12% of the wine is aged in mixed French coopers to add depth of character.

The Basalte Pinot Noir is the bedrock bottling from the Willamette Valley. It is sourced from vineyards in two AVAs - Chehalem Mountains and Dundee Hills - that have fairly thin volcanic clay topsoil over fractured basalt. This type of very rocky soil lends itself to full-bodied, firmly structured wines. The Basalte captures this expressive character of the soil, with deep red fruit and a fine tannic structure that maintains the elegant style we are seeking.

Jacob's Creek Classic Pinot Noir that pairs approachability and drinkability with varietal purity. This wine has perfumed strawberry notes with a subtle black cherry lift. They Trekked down to Central Otago to find the very best expression of Pinot Noir. Having had quite a lot of experience with fruit from the area, for us the sub-region of Gibbston shows Pinot Noir in its most finest form, and therefore we went on a mission to source fruit from a stunning little pocket just underneath the very dramatic and imposing Nevis Bluff. Like thier whites; structure, acidity, texture and an element of savouriness are the watchwords that are transposed into this wine, with that classic Gibbston nose of wild herb and briar.

It is nicely ripe and gently lifted on the nose showing dark cherry, sweet strawberry, mixed spice and dried herb notes. The palate displays juicy fruit flavours and smooth texture, leading to a lengthy fruity finish.

The southern hairy-nosed wombat is stout and robust, perfectly adapted to the harsh environment in which it lives. Like the might of the little wombat, Hairy Nose is crafted from premium regional South Australia fruit from established vineyards that deliver character and interest well above their size and weight. This Pinot Noir is a bold, great expression of the variety. Made in a hands off manner with generous aromas of vanilla bean, red berries and Autumn leaves with a hint of spicy oak. The palate is polished and precise with good complexity and concentration. Pair with mushroom risotto.
