A blend of outstanding wines matured in seasoned small oak casks, achieving a minimum average blended age of 10 years. The combination of extended maturation and Penfolds extensive experience in crafting fine Tawny wines, has resulted in a wine with concentration, vitality, exceptional balance of fruit, nutty oak age complexity and distinctive spirit. All of these elements culminate in a balanced, clean and lingering tight finish. Marrying the fruit-driven styles of Club and Club Reserve with the complexity and concentration of the more mature expressions, Father Grand Tawny provides an elegant continuation of the Penfolds 'House Style'.

With each vintage, varietal batches are selected for Grandfather. These batches are individually aged in seasoned old oak casks before being blended together at 14 years of age. This blend is then introduced into the 'Grandfather Solera'. This Solera consists of six stages that are designed to fully integrate all components offering consistency and freshness with a final minimum average blended age of 20 years. Deep amber/mahogany in colour with green-gold tinges, this is a blend of the finest old tawnies. The palate shows classical Penfolds fruitcake, liquorice and vanillin oak flavours with a sweet full and round mid-palate, and a finish that persists on and on.

Penkridge Farm lies between the spectacular Pisa Range and Lake Dunstan in the heart of Central Otago. Vintage 2023 delivered a beautiful, high-quality crop from 10/5 and Abel clones. Winemaker Matt has crafted a classically elegant, approachable Pinot Noir with lifted aromas of dark cherry and ripe plum. The palate is medium-bodied with a soft, juicy texture and a finely balanced, food-friendly finish.

A fragrant bouquet of red cherry and blueberry fruits with subtle notes of fennel, black olive and savoury characters. This wine shows great fruit weight and generosity, abundant with plush dark fruits and perfectly balanced by soft, round tannins and a long-lasting finish.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon parcels sourced from vineyards throughout the Barossa. The fruit is fermented for up to 14 days, then aged for 12 months in a mix of French and American oak. Individual parcels of fruit are matured separately to maximise the blend's complexity and finalised through a selection process. The resulting wine is rich and concentrated with aromas of ripe dark berry fruits, blackcurrants and plums with mint and varietal leafy notes.
