Vintage Brut 2015 reflects the House's enduring spirit of audacity, creativity and boldness, marking the 67th declared vintage since Madame Clicquot created the first vintage champagne in 1810. Built on a predominance of Pinot Noir (50%) for power and aromatic richness, the blend is refined by Chardonnay (30%) for elegance and finesse, with Pinot Meunier (20%) adding roundness. A distinctive 10% of wines vinified and aged in large oak casks, combined with prolonged ageing on the lees, brings depth, strength and complexity. The wine opens with tension, verticality and minerality, unfolding into notes of toast, roasted coffee beans and praline, supported by an excellent, finely structured palate.
