Château de Bligny, the only Champagne to enjoy a Château appellation as a producer. Vines are known to have been planted in Bligny since the 12th Century. This bottling is from one of the few Clos Champenois, 'a walled vineyard' of just 2ha from the Bligny estate's vineyards in Cote des Bar which is bottled separately, given a full malo-actic fermentation, aged 3 years on the yeasts and dosed at a very dry 5 grams per litre. This is a rich, rare, exotic, Champagne that balances complexity and power.
