Deep garnet red with a ruby rim. On the nose, notes of very ripe fruit - plum, figs and fruit compote - stand out. All enveloped in notes of vanilla, caramel, black pepper and smoke. A well-structured wine, with ripe, sweet tannins on the palate.

Clean, bright with a medium deep ruby rim. Good aromatic strength, markedly fruity with ripe berries. A pleasant finish showing notes of ripe fruit.

The grapes are picked at their peak ripeness and followed by cold maceration and temperature-controlled fermentation in French and American oak, and aged in the cask for 9 months. This wine is deep violet in colour and requires being aerated, so decanting is always recommended. As the wine begins to breathe, it releases notes of minerals, ripe black fruit and white pepper, which combines with soft, pleasant tannins.

On the palate, stone fruit notes are met with rich undertones of vanilla and clove, harmonized with warm spice and a touch of oak-derived toastiness. This Reserve Chardonnay is a full-blown, 100-percent barrel-fermented with brand new American oak barrels, 100% malolactic fermentation, sur lie, aged on its lees, and bâtonnage twice a month. Phantom Chardonnay entices with its rich layers. Green apple and pear transform into spicy flavours of freshly baked apple pie, while barrel fermentation imparts a creamy, luscious mouthfeel.

Black plums and blueberries emerge on the palate. Notes of pipe tobacco and clove settle around the finish, long and lingering, like the Delta fog. Full of concentration and intensity, this wine will tease, tantalize and linger long after the last sip is gone.
