Recognising the site of the Marlborough Wine Festival, all Festival Block wines honour this annual celebration of local food and wine and showcase varietals from around New Zealand. Pretty, deep ruby hue with a bouquet of mostly cedar and smoky oak. It's dry with nice dark fruit character, plum, black currant, spiciness and pithy tannins.

Ruby-red coloured wine, with pleasant fruity aromas and delicate sweet notes, well balanced, soft and round in the mouth. Perfect with savoury pasta, red meat and fresh cheeses.

It has aromas and flavours suggestive of blackberries, raspberries, purple plums, vanilla pod, cigar-box and liquorice. On the palate there is a dense core of bright, ripe, mouth-filling fruit which is supported by an ample tannins.

Dark ruby red in colour, this wine opens up with aromas and flavours of ripe black cherry and raspberry. Ageing select lots in rum barrels enhances the notes of baking spice, brown sugar, vanilla, and cocoa when added to the final blend. Dark chocolate notes carry through to a long, lush finish. A superb accompaniment to spiced meats and poultry, Brie with fig jam, and chocolate desserts.
